Chakla Dham is believed to be the birth place of a famous Hindu yogi Baba Loknath (There is a controversy regarding the beliefs of people, some believe that kachua dham is the actual birthpace of baba loknath.). It is situated in north 24 parganas district of west bengal in Habra constituency area, nearly 15 km from Habra town.
Chakla Dham is mainly a temple where Baba Loknath is worshiped. Thousands of followers of Baba loknath visits chakla dham daily.
Loknath baba was born on the ospicious occation of Janmasthami( birthday of lord krishna) and loknath baba's exodus day is celebrated on 19th jaistha( 19th day of bengali month jaishtha). So, on these two aouspicious day lakhs of devotees visits and pay homage to loknath baba at his birth palce.

The Chakla Dham campus is having a main temple where it is believed that Baba Loknath took birth and beside that a big Natmondir is built. The khichuri prasad( lunch) is served at the dinning place which is built behind the Natmondir and the main temple. To get lunch you need to buy a coupon from respective place within 11:30 am. The dinning place is a huge area which can accommodate hundreds of devotees at the same time.
Daily Rituals :
Devotees who visits Chakla Dham first of all they need to keep their shoes outside the campus in a shoe keeping place to enter the temple. There are several shops outside the temple campus who sells the required things which is considered necessary for the rituals for paying homage to Loknath baba.
After entering devotees pay their homage before the idol of baba loknath and waits there to experience the Bhog arati ceremony and getting prasad after attending it. Now after getting prasad the devotees need to form a Que at the dinning hall to get khichuri prasad as lunch.
Travel Guide :
The nearest towns from Chakla are Habra, Barasat, Basirhat. From Barasat ( Sadar sub-division of North 24 parganas district) a direct bus runs daily from barasat to chakla. From habra a direct auto runs daily to help devotees reach Chakla. From Basirhat devotees can reach Chakla via Berachampa.
